Chief Executive Officer, Totally
Wendy has worked in healthcare for almost 40 years, holding roles within the NHS and the private sector. She built her experience in frontline clinical roles with Derbyshire Ambulance Service before moving into NHS leadership roles where she was CEO for three primary care trusts and part of numerous national strategic projects supporting the NHS to ensure services were developed to address the changing needs of the population of England and Wales.
Wendy ran her own business, working with US-based healthcare organisations and BUPA, before joining Totally as CEO in 2013.
Working as part of the Board of Totally to deliver its buy and build strategy, Wendy has worked closely with investors to raise capital and acquire six businesses to date while delivering upon Totally’s organic growth strategy. Wendy recognises the importance of quality services and the need to recruit talented individuals to help drive the business forward.
Wendy is passionate about delivering continuous improvement to ensure patients can access appropriate services quickly and receive the best possible care.
Chief Financial Officer, Totally
Lisa has been a chartered accountant for more than 20 years and has extensive finance experience built over 13 years working in finance in the independent healthcare sector.
Lisa joined Totally in August 2017 and is responsible for finance, IT and digital services alongside contracting and procurement.
Prior to joining Totally, Lisa was the head of divisional finance for the healthcare division of Care UK and was employed by Care UK for more than ten years in a senior finance capacity. Care UK is England’s largest independent provider of NHS services and has a diverse portfolio of healthcare services which include elective surgery treatment centres, provision of healthcare in UK prisons, urgent care centres, GP OOH and NHS 111 services. Lisa was financial controller at Mercury Health Ltd during which time she established a team and implemented finance processes and systems prior to the company’s acquisition by Care UK in 2007. The healthcare division of Care UK continued to grow to become a £380m revenue business.
Lisa started her finance career at Ernst & Young in 1990 where she qualified as a chartered accountant and she has also held roles as finance manager in both Hewlett Packard and Oracle.
Medical Director, Totally
John was appointed Medical Director for Totally with effect from 1 January 2023. This role provides leadership across the Group for our medical and clinical staff as well as providing strategic advice to the Board on future growth opportunities. John also ensures that Clinical Quality remains a priority across the organisation.
John joined Totally as Joint Managing Director of Pioneer following the acquisition of Pioneer Healthcare in 2022, and provided day to day operational guidance to the team. John is an adult neurosurgeon with a special interest in spinal surgery and paediatric neurosurgery.
John was previously the head of department of neurosurgery at Sheffield Teaching Hospital, one of the biggest neurosurgery departments in the UK. He is a member of a number of peer review committees in England including the Paediatric Brain Tumour Registry and the Paediatric Head Injury Group.
Chief Operating Officer, Totally
Prasad joined Totally Joint Managing Director and Medical Director of Pioneer following the acquisition of Pioneer Healthcare in 2022. Prasad was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for Totally in January 2023.
In January 2023 Prasad retired from the NHS where he was consultant paediatric urologist and honorary senior lecturer at the University of Sheffield and deputy medical director of Sheffield Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust responsible for all governance, quality and safety issues.
Managing Director, Energy Fitness Professionals
Alan joined Totally on the acquisition of Energy Fitness Professionals in December 2021 and has 30 years’ experience of working in the corporate fitness and wellbeing sector. With a passion for health and fitness he started his career as a coach delivering face to face services to members, whilst developing his management skills and seeking opportunities for starting his own business.
Alan formed Energy Fitness Professionals (“EFP”) in 1998 with his business partner Rob Radford, delivering bespoke fitness and wellbeing centres to a range of corporate clients, central government departments and higher education institutions. Over 23 years EFP grew to 54 sites across the UK.
Director of People and Transformation, Totally
Jayne joined Totally in September 2020 and leads the HR, Recruitment and Learning and Organisational Development teams.
Jayne has over 15 years’ experience of working in the NHS, private healthcare and AIM listed companies and is an experienced senior executive and Group HRD with skills in strategy, culture change, executive coaching, organisational design and development, L&D, start-ups, mergers and acquisitions.
Director of IM&T and Procurement
Owain was appointed as Director of IM&T and Digital Transformation for Totally in June 2019 and broadened his responsibility to include procurement in March 2023. He is a strategically focused IM&T Director with a technical background and substantial experience of IT programme and project management.
Owain has a Bsc in Computer Science from Swansea University, and has more than 15 years’ experience in healthcare, within IT roles. Prior to joining Totally Owain held various roles at Care UK including Head of Business Systems.
Owain is passionate about leading teams to successful outcomes and always seeks innovative ways to drive change. His expertise lies in bridging the gap between technical and business teams - improving capability and engagement, driving collaborative change that delivers tangible performance gains.
Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Totally
Andy joined Totally as Managing Director of Vocare in 2017, was appointed as Managing Director of the Urgent Care Division in 2020 and as Deputy COO for Totally in January 2023.
Prior to joining Totally, Andy was CEO of Hardwick CCG. He is an experienced leader with a deep understanding of care provision and the complex delivery of changing systems across organisations.
With a career spanning 30 years in healthcare Andy has a good strategic understanding of care needs, successfully leading teams through major changes and developing resilient models of care to meet the changing needs of populations. He is a successful and dynamic system leader with a strong track record of creating and maintaining high performing teams and organisations.
Director of Operations
John was appointed as Director of Operations for the healthcare delivery businesses in April 2023.
John has more than 33 years’ experience within the healthcare sector, and has held a number of senior clinical, commissioning and operational roles across the NHS and internationally, including: National Operations General Manager for NHS Direct, Associate Director and Lead Nurse of UEC Operations, Executive Director of Operations, Business Development roles in Acute Care, Head of Commissioning and Contracting roles in PCTs/CCGs covering Primary Care and Community services. John has also held management board responsibilities for operational delivery, financial management, clinical and quality governance.
More recently John ran his own consultancy business helping NHS bodies, independent businesses and international healthcare organisations to deliver lasting outcomes-based change. John has significant experience of service redesign and transformation, commercial and business development and improving operational performance to meet strategic objectives. He is also an educator and executive coach.
Group Director of Nursing and Quality
Kat joined Totally in 2022 as Interim Deputy Director of Nursing and was appointed Group Director of Nursing and Quality in February 2023.
She began her career as a Care Assistant prior to training as a Nurse, and then joined the Army as a Nursing Officer in the Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Team. During her 18 years with the Army, she held a number of roles including roles within Emergency Care and qualified as a Nurse Educator, specialising in training and upskilling nurses.
After leaving the Army, Kat worked within the NHS for five years, holding lead and clinical director roles for complex care and Primary Care respectively. Kat brings significant experience to Totally and a breadth of skills in nurse leadership, workforce development and out-of-hospital care.
Director of Communications and Marketing
Holly joined Totally as Director of Communications and Marketing in July 2021. She has more than 25 years of communications experience, mainly across large technology and financial services brands such as Aviva, Zurich Financial Services and Farnell (Avnet).
Prior to joining Totally, Holly was Global Head of PR and External Communications for Farnell, with responsibility for driving high levels of PR coverage across three continents. Prior to this, she spent the majority of her career within Financial Services where she held a number of roles within Communications and Marketing, Investor Relations, and Risk and Governance.
Holly complements her communications experience within a strong commercial understanding.
Director of Corporate Assurance
Falu joined Totally in 2019 and is responsible for the delivery of all corporate assurance functions across the Group including the provision of the Data Protection Officer role. He has more than 30 years of experience in the NHS and more recently in the private sector, and is skilled at delivering corporate governance frameworks within complex organisations.
Falu has worked at Board level for more than 10 years, providing advice and support to Chairs, Chief Executives and Directors on comprehensive corporate governance, assurance and business management systems and processes, in line with NHS policy and best practice.
He has significant experience of providing organisational governance and assurance against a backdrop of change, ensuring organisations are fit for purpose and able to discharge their statutory duties and responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
