Our focus on delivering high quality healthcare, a robust clinical governance approach and a culture of continuous improvement is something we are very proud of.

Urgent treatment centres can see around 50-60% of all patients coming to the Emergency Department (ED), immediately taking the pressure off NHS staff and services. Following an initial clinical assessment within 15 minutes of arrival, 90%+ of patients using the UTC are seen within the 4-hour target compared to 80% in the typical Emergency Department. This enables ED clinicians to focus on emergency care.

Our clinical assessment by nurses on-site determines if another service is more appropriate for the patient and, if so, redirects them to the correct service.

Overall, this ensures that patients receive the appropriate care in the right place and at the right time. 75% + of all walk-in patients are discharged from our UTCs without ever having to attend the Emergency Department.
