The project
A blue-chip company was building a new multi-million-pound office and research facility based on the Surrey/Hampshire border. The company wanted to offer an excellent benefits package to retain and attract new staff.
The solution
EFP held a number of meetings with the facilities management team to discuss its requirements for staff wellbeing and reviewed the space, equipment, locations and demands that the company had for the facility, which would be offered as a free service to all employees.
EFP presented the option of a wellbeing centre, which would include the delivery of a fitness centre and studio area for classes, as well as a wide range of therapists and a concierge service for the staff.
A highly qualified and motivated fitness team was put in place to ensure that the facility was ready to open as soon as the building was fully populated. As staff started moving into the building, the fitness team carried out pre-induction assessments including blood pressure and health checks so that when the gym opened there were already over 400 members ready to start training.
A range of therapists were hired to offer services such as hairdressing, beauty treatments, massage, osteopathy, chiropody and much more. The concierge service was up and running immediately with the sole purpose of taking away the small chores that people do at work enabling increased focus on their jobs. Services included ordering flowers, purchasing theatre tickets, car services or valets, paying in cheques and taking items to the post office.
