The 'Our Plan for Patients' sets out some important measures to address the growing backlog of care, including maximising the use of Independent Sector capacity and ensuring patients can choose a route to enable the fastest possible treatment.
With NHS waiting lists at record levels and set to increase further, it is vital that these commitments urgently become a reality for patients.
